Hotel a Tom Bean

“Staff was very nice and helpful, but the property is in bad shape. Our first room had been broken into before, you can see where they wedged something to release the latch, breaking off part of the door. Requested a second room, and was upgraded to a slightly larger room, but it smelled like weed and cheap perfume. Except for the smell, the room was decently clean. The beds were horrible, like sleeping on a cardboard box. Pool was closed, not sure if it will reopen? I would not stay here...

“Steve and Karen are wonderful hosts. They are considerate and kind. Breakfast was delicious. We were serenaded with Steve on the fiddle and Karen on the washboard. Great fun. Enjoyable visit. ”

“The staff was great, but the smell on the floor where we stayed was very disturbing. It may have been coming from the carpet, but the odor was noticeable throughout our stay and negatively affected the overall experience.”

“The elevators were the main issue during our 2 night stay. When we arrived only one of the 2 elevators was working. Long waits and we even got briefly trapped for 15 seconds when the elevator stopped suddenly. Then the worst thing happened, the day of our departure no working elevators and we had to carry all of our luggage plus a very heavy cooler down from the 5th floor. Not a good way to end our stay, I was pissed but refrained from complaining to front desk as this was not their fault. If...
